beta?

Has anyone switched their blog over to beta? I know beta was better than vhs back in the day....but blogger beta?

Any critiques of the new system? I was trying to post a comment on someone's blog that has switched and it didn't recognize my username and password. It said, try again later. Boooo. I was already logged into blogger. I like it on the old one how you can just be signed in and then comment without having to type in your username and password.

Any thoughts?

it just happened again! I tried to comment on another blog that switched to beta and it won't let me comment!!!!!
Is this a conspiracy or is there something I don't know.

I hear ya! Was my blog one of those?! A few days ago I switched to beta just for the heck of it, without realizing these adverse effects. My reccomendation would be to switch over- it only took a few minutes if that. Although honestly I haven't noticed a vast improvement in my blogging experience. I would do it just for the commenting capabilities.

Hey I was just looking in to this a bit more and if when you are signed in to Blogger you click on the Help link at the top right of your screen it will take you to some helpful info. Apparently Blogger is switching over to Google accounts (which is what you have to do to switch to beta) and within a few months everyone will have to switch over.... read more about it.

How many freaking accounts do I need? It says that a blogger account will work with the comments but then obviously it didn't. Actually Michelle, it was your blog that I first tried to comment on. I was going to mention that I wanted to do a photo project of people sleeping but it didn't work out.

I've noticed some issues since switching over, but I'm not sure blogger is to blame. The main problem is when I comment on someone's blog, and my web browser automatically fills in the login field with my old blogger username and password, and I go ahead and try to post the comment and it tells me I need to log in to my beta account instead. So I do that and I lose the post I've just written. I've since taken to "copying" my comment before I try to post it.

Other than that, there's not much difference. Some added customizability, but that's about it.

I'm glad i've inspired you to finish anna karenina. it takes serious determination - i read the first half in a week, then read about 50 pages over the next 2 months, then got down to it and finished it in about a week. My next one is blink - i've had it on my shelf and your post about it inspired me - maybe on the flight home for christmas!!
